Nothing says winter and Christmastime like the smell and taste of gingerbread and speculaas (Dutch version of gingerbread) spice. So here's a super easy and quick recipe to make your own. Not just perfect for making speculaas but also super tastety in your coffee!
INGREDIENTS
8 tsp ground cinnamon
2 tsp ground clove
2 tsp ground nutmeg
1 tsp ground cardamom
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp anise
GET TO WORK
Mix everything and add to a pretty jar.
Serving tip: Add 1/8 tsp to your coffee to make it extra special.
HOW TO STORE
Like all spices, this mix can be stored for a long time as long as you keep the jar tightly closed and in a dark place.
