Bach flower remedies is a treatment method from complementary medicine, naturopathy. It was developed by physician and homeopath Dr. Edward Bach (1886-1936). Bach became seriously ill in 1917 and discovered the healing properties of plants. His interest grew over the years, which led to him leaving his practice in 1930 to research the healing properties of plants.

Bach believed that the dew that lay on the flowers every morning had the healing properties of the plants and collected this as medicine. Because of the success, he came up with a way to produce the "dew" himself. He placed the freshly picked flowers in a glass bowl with pure spring water and left it in the sun for a while. The moisture that was created had the same effect as the dew. Today, the remedies are still produced in this way at the Dr. Edward Bach Centre in Oxfordshire.

Bach flower remedies fall under holistic healing methods (the whole person is treated, not just the symptoms). The remedies are mainly selected based on the mental and emotional state, attitude and typical behavior of someone. The great thing about Bach flower remedies is that it is a completely safe, non-invasive form of therapy and the remedies can be used by almost everyone.

A first consultation (the intake consultation) is always about learning what you want from the therapy and discussing the possibilities for further treatment. Following the intake, I draw up a treatment plan stating what the treatment will look like and what you as a client can expect. Only when the treatment plan has been signed (by you as a client and me as a therapist) do we really start the treatment.

Book a consultation below or contact us here if you have any questions.
